Self-operated pressure steam regulating valve is a kind of self-operated regulating valve. It is energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and easy to use. After installation, it can be put into automatic operation after setting the pressure value. Therefore, it has been used more and more widely in situations where the control accuracy is not high, and there is no power supply and gas source.

However, the self-operated steam pressure regulating valve also needs to be correctly selected, installed and used to ensure that there are no problems after it is put into operation. In terms of model selection, such as whether the regulating valve is used to control the pressure in front of the valve or the pressure behind the valve, whether the medium is normal temperature or high temperature, whether it is corrosive or not, and the working pressure, we will not introduce more. We must make it clear in advance. We will mainly introduce the installation and use problems. Recently, we encountered a series of problems in the use of self-operated steam pressure regulating valves, which is very representative.

Self-operated steam pressure regulating valve is used on steam pipeline. It has only been put into use for one or two months, and users have reported for repair. On arrival at the site, a large amount of steam was discharged from the exhaust hole of the diaphragm head of the self-operated steam pressure regulating valve, making a tremendous noise and alarming sound. The obvious cause of the accident was that the steam was directly loaded into the diaphragm head without passing through the condenser and the diaphragm was burnt.

For the self-operated steam pressure regulating valve used for steam pipeline, a condenser must be added between the actuator and the pipeline during installation to prevent steam from entering the actuator diaphragm head, and the self-operated steam pressure regulating valve must be installed head-down, the condenser must be higher than the membrane head, and the condenser and the membrane head must be filled with water for the first use. Look at the on-site installation method and ask the on-site instrument personnel, all of these are OK, so what is the reason? It is puzzling. Later, a careful inquiry was made with an operator. It was unintentionally learned that the joint between the condenser and the membrane head had been leaking intermittently after the installation and use of this regulating valve. It turns out that the water in the inverted condenser slowly leaks out, and the steam enters the membrane head and burns the membrane.
